This kit utilizes a Xtreme Pressure Plate, which is superior to the stock pressure plate with greatly increased clamping force.

ACT recommends 6-pad ACT Xtreme Race Discs for larger sizes to absorb more heat and for smoother engagement. The 4-pad ACT Xtreme Race Discs engage harsher, shift faster, and are well suited for smaller disc sizes from smaller engines. All clutch kits include throwout bearing and alignment tool (if applicable).

If you are looking for more of a race application that requires quick shifting and hard solid engagement, ACT clutch kits for this set up will include either a 4 pad or 6 pad solid/spring hub race disc with an ACT Xtreme pressure plate. This type of setup will provide a harsh engagement and chatter not recommended for street use.
